Controle.
Natuurlijk zijn we bij de controle ontzettend benieuwd wat de ferritine waarde is. Hij moet omlaag want dat kan de oorzaak zijn van de vermoeidheids- en leverproblemen. Gelukkig was hij vorige keer gezakt van 5000 naar 3300. Nog wel een weg te gaan tot de normaal waarde van 25-50, maar als de weg omlaag maar door blijft gaan, komen we er wel. Bij de 2 wekelijkse controle blijkt helaas dat de ferritine is gestegen van 3308 naar 4032. Komt het ijzer dan toch nog meer los uit de organen? Het doel van 25-50 lijkt weer zo ver weg. Hier alle waarden van de afgelopen maanden, waaraan je kunt zien dat er geen enkel verband in zit : begin 4216, 3581,4437, 4437, 4046, 3994, 5066, 3308, 4032 (afgelopen keer). En dan tussendoor al een liter of 6 bloed af laten tappen. Toch wil de hematoloog dat we vol blijven houden met aderlaten en we besluiten om ieder 2 weken te gaan aderlaten. Dat gaat zo wel zeker nog een jaar duren.
Goed nieuws!
De Neoral heb ik voor de 4e maal afgebouwd! Een half jaar ben ik bezig geweest met afbouwen en nu is het zover. Er breekt weer een hele spannende tijd aan want steeds na het stoppen met de Neoral ontstond er weer nieuwe afstoting. De komende weken zijn we extra alert op afwijkingen aan huid en ogen. Omdat de Neoral is gestopt, kan ik ook stoppen met de Valaciclovir (virusremmer), de Co-trimoxazol (bacterieremmer) en de maagbeschermer Pantoprazol. Scheelt weer 4 pillen per dag. En, nog leuker, ik mag stoppen met het dieet, en mag weer alles eten. Afhaal eten, eten in een restaurant, voorgesneden groenten, franse kaas, carpaccio. Allemaal lekkere dingen die ivm de lage weerstand niet mochten. We maken er gelijk gebruik van en gaan een keertje lekker uit eten. Je moet niet uitstellen wat vandaag kan 🙂
Longfunctie.
De longfunctie is opnieuw getest, vermoeidheid kan immers ook komen door verminderde longfunctie. Gelukkig is de longfunctie niet verder achteruit gegaan en hetzelfde als in mei. Ik ben met de IC opname en beademing vorig jaar 25% longcapaciteit kwijt geraakt. Niet leuk, maar het kan niet de vermoeidheid verklaren, en er is mee te leven.
Hematoloog.
De hematoloog sluit ons bezoek af met de opmerking dat hij zich realiseert dat ik me nog steeds niet lekker voel en dat hij doorgaat met puzzelen en zoeken. “Opgeven is geen optie”. Voorlopig blijven we iedere 2 weken een halve liter aderlaten.

It isn’t forcing dietary practices on everyone else, it’s YOUR ability to keep kosher or hallal at a party where the food, bbq, utensils, etc. make YOU unable to eat. I love nearly all of the arrangements in the hymn book. I find them to be wonderful for bass singers like myself, particularly when compared with the music we usually sing in the ward choir. Most of that music keeps trying to force me to be a baritone when I’m really a deep bass. I fairly regularly sing an octave lower in protest. The bass part may often be fairly simple for most hymns, but at least it’s low!

Moser, but perhaps you didnt put it as best as you could have. you see putting it as the ‘civilised world’ you seem to give the impression that the rest of the population of Pakistan and other non western countries are not as civilised as the ‘western powers’ hence your comment was reminiscent of patronising western leaders intent on ‘saving the uncivilised of the east’. we’re not all ‘animals’ they’re a minority and sadly the good parts of countries like pakistan are never news worthy.
