Op verzoek van Dolf zorg ik, Marjolein, voorlopig voor zijn blog.
Infuusproblemen
Besloten is de lange infuuslijn eruit te halen en een nieuwe in te brengen. Het zekere voor het onzekere… Weer een röntgenfoto om te controleren, of de lijn goed is ingebracht.
Het is nu helemaal belangrijk dat het infuus goed werkt, dit is natuurlijk de dag van de stamcel-toediening.
Misselijkheid
Vlak voor de start van de stamceltoediening moet Dolf overgeven. Er is nog snel een anti- misselijkheidsmiddel ingespoten. Gelukkig gebeurde het voor de transfusie, anders had het voor een transfusie-reactie aangezien kunnen worden.
STAMCELTRANSPLANTATIE
Er ligt een uitgebreid protocol klaar, hoe de stamcellen moeten worden toegediend (tempo van inlopen), lichamelijke transfusie-reacties van patiënt, de (frequentie van) controles. De hematoloog komt samen met de verpleegkundige met de zak stamcellen naar binnen. In een koelbox is de zak op de afdeling aangeleverd.
Een bijzonder moment…
Het is een zak met 667 ml rode vloeistof. Het hangt van de plaats van herkomst af, hoe de stamcellen worden aangeleverd. Soms is het een klein zakje, vaak roze van kleur. Dit is een grote zak met een rode inhoud. Soms is het moeilijk om de rode bloedlichaampjes eruit te filteren.
Andere bloedgroep
Het beenmerg van de donor was een perfecte match met Dolf’s beenmerg, maar jammer genoeg hebben ze niet dezelfde bloedgroep. Dit betekent, dat er een groter risico is op een transfusie-reactie.
Dolf’s bloedgroep zal veranderen van O in bloedgroep A.
De levensduur van rode bloedlichaampjes is ongeveer 100 dagen. Tot over 100 dagen heeft Dolf dus een mengsel van bloedgroep O (oud) en bloedgroep A (nieuw).
Het protocol wordt nauwlettend gevolgd. In aanwezigheid van de hematoloog worden eerst de controles gedaan: bloeddruk, pols, temperatuur. De zak stamcellen wordt aangesloten, waarbij de klok in de gaten wordt gehouden. De inloop-snelheid is gedurende 10 minuten laag. Als er dan geen reactie komt, dan mag de snelheid omhoog. Nogmaals de controles, alles is goed en de snelheid mag dus omhoog.
Transfusie reactie
Het komt allemaal wel goed, maar Dolf voelt zich beroerd worden, krijgt een rood hoofd, voelt zich iets benauwd, kucht…. Het infuus wordt direct stopgezet. Er wordt een (dubbele dosis) anti-allergie-middel ingespoten. Dolf’s lichaam krijgt even tijd om aan de (lichaamsvreemde) cellen te “wennen”.
Besloten wordt de stamcellen met lage snelheid te laten inlopen. Van het anti-allergie-middel Tavergil word je suf en slaperig en Dolf valt zowaar even in slaap.
Na bijna 3 uur is de stamceltoediening achter de rug!! Een felicitatie waard, want de dag van de stamceltransplantatie wordt in het algemeen als de nieuwe geboortedag (verjaardag) beschouwd!
Dag 0 is bijna voorbij, vanaf nu hopen we weer op te kunnen tellen (en dus ook op te kunnen bouwen).
Komppaan Slaniaa: en minäkään yleensä lue dekkareita, mutta jostain syystä tuo kolahti, samoin kuin muutkin (!) issatnilailet dekkarit. Esimerkiksi Arnaldur Indridason (ja tämäkin nimi väärin, sorry!)

It’s a shame. Yamabuki has long been one of my favorite restaurants at the resort. The prices didn’t seem out of line to me. If anything Yamabuki delivered a better meal (“dining experience” if you must) for the money than most/all the restaurants at the resort. Napa Rose, Brennen’s, Tortilla Joe’s, and Uva are all good, but not exceptionally so considering their high prices. Yamabuki was always excellent.

I think the reaction to the conservative playcalling is that too often we have seen that choice not pay off and see it costing us a game. I would swing my vote for a chance at a washing machine if I was convinced there was nothing else of any significance that government could offer me. The example of Mexico is a good one. People just assume there will be massive corruption and incompetence, so they look to what they can get out of it in the ‘here and right now.’ It is not that people are ignorant.
